ABOUT
The Story Behind This Project
About This Project
The Laramide Province stretches across a vast region of the western United States and represents one of the most geologically significant areas for understanding Earth's history from a biblical perspective. This project will conduct detailed field investigations and geologic studies to better define the Flood/post-Flood boundary in this critical region.
Understanding where the global Flood deposits end and post-Flood deposits begin is one of the most important — and most debated — questions in creation geology. The Laramide Province, with its dramatic folding, faulting, and sedimentary sequences, provides an ideal natural laboratory for this research.
Research Methodology
- Field mapping — detailed geological mapping of key formations to document stratigraphic relationships
- Petrographic analysis — thin-section analysis of rock samples to identify mineral compositions and depositional indicators
- Data interpretation — integrating field observations with existing geological data for a comprehensive boundary model
- Scientific publication — review and refinement of scientific papers documenting findings
- Conference presentations — sharing results at creation science conferences
What Your Support Funds
- Field investigation travel and logistics for the 2026 research season
- Rock sample collection and shipping
- Petrographic thin-section preparation and microscopy
- Scientific paper review and publication costs
- Conference travel and presentation expenses
Why This Matters
The Flood/post-Flood boundary question has direct implications for how we interpret the fossil record, understand geological time, and communicate the reliability of the biblical account. Your support puts researchers directly into the field during the 2026 season.
